Or you could just take him/her out and treat him/her somewhere.. Or make a homemade card, or take him/her to different places and talk about different things... That's what my auntie's friends do because, well, she's allergic to a lot of things so... yeah..

Can anyone recommend an Australian online store that can gift wrap items and sells more than just hampers!?
I'm in the UK but want to buy gifts in an online Australian store for my relatives. I'm having trouble finding anywhere to buy Christmas presents online in Australia that offers gift wrapping and sells more than just food hampers, toiletries or flowers. Can anyone help?

What type of gift do you get your boss who's leaving the company and is the CFO?
My boss has been with the company only 3-4 years. Some other people thought about flowers but my thought on that is it's tacky. Flowers are something you'd give for "Boss's Day" or "Birthday". We are definitely doing a cake but I need ideas for a gift. Please help!

What's your relationship to the man? If it's a friend I'd get him a book in something he's interested in.....he'll have something to read during the recovery this way (it's not that unique, but it's ALWAYS appreciated)....another option...maybe a framed collage of photos of his family/friends...something he can look at during recovery.

Flowers for a guy??
Its absolutely not weird. I'm an actor and musician and have gotten flowers on an opening night many times. You usually give them once the performance is over. Its an old tradition and has not an iota to do with "gay" or "straight." Nonsense.
They're usually roses but I don't know of any hard and fast rule. I've usually gotten a single flower as opposed to a boquet. I ALWAYS appreciated it greatly. I'm not much of a flower guy so usually Mom or Grandma would get them next; this is also because plants seem to die when I try to take care of them!

Who got flowers for mothers day????today?
i have been working in a florist this week and it feels like the whole world has been given flowers.... thank god i have finnished.. what other gifts did people get for morthers day??

Reply:Not me because I warned my kids and husband not to buy me any because of the cost, all the florists and market stalls by me, have nearly doubled there prices, so I would rather not have them.
But my eldest son took me out for a mexican meal last night with his girlfriend and her mom, it was a really nice night, it was his first mothers day where he has been working, and he made me so proud.

Reply:I got a lovely bunch of flowers with a teddy stuck in them. But the thing I loved most was the card my 4 year old made at play group and went to pain staking lengths to hide from me.
Reply:I got a lovely fluffy dressing gown and 1 card. I have 3 kids all grown [6 g,kids] Wonder if the 2 lads thought mothers day was May like a few on here did I don't mind any-way and have always told my family not to get me flowers for such occasions they are too over=priced I pick my own from my garden all through spring and summer they smell loads better than shop bought and I am actually proud of them.

Reply:Not me because I warned my kids and husband not to buy me any because of the cost, all the florists and market stalls by me, have nearly doubled there prices, so I would rather not have them.
But my eldest son took me out for a mexican meal last night with his girlfriend and her mom, it was a really nice night, it was his first mothers day where he has been working, and he made me so proud.
Reply:my hubby let me loose in the shopping centre with his wallet - brave man. so i got new clothes, jewelery and boots. yeha

Reply:to everyone out with the UK it is mothers day in the UK, yes i got flowers and chocolates but the best pressie of all was my kids visiting with my 9 grand kids, it is pretty hectic but then when they all go home the silence is wonderfull, would not change it for anything xx
