How do you think that I did for an end of the year gift for my kid's teachers?

I am nervous because I have never done this, but I am cooking for my daughter's teachers (she has 7 including her speech pathologist. She is in the special education setting. Autism) and my son's teacher tomorrow. They will meet in a common room for lunch (kids have been taken care of) and we will have fried chicken, mac. and cheese, string beans, rolls, strawberry shortcake. I have learned that these teachers LOVE fried chicken and choc.

I also have a small gift. I bought coffee cups and wrote a small thank you on each one. On my son's I put, "You plant a seed in each child that you teach". In the cup, we have Hershey kisses and a small package of seeds for flowers.

My daughter's each have a special saying on it, such as "You have helped to me to love to learn again". You expect no more than I am able to give you"......You gave me back my smile, etc. They have the same candy and seed packages.

HOW IS THAT? Is it terribly cheesey or what? It truly came from the heart

i think that it was wonderful idea.

u r definetely one of a kind. many parents now a days do not even meet with let alone give gifts to their children's teachers.

i do not think it was cheesey. it was great thought and act. u did it from the heart and i am sure these teachers will remember you for many many years to come.
Reply:I think it's super sweet, the teachers will be touched by the quotes alone :)
Reply:i hope a few other parents are helping you with this...... but anyway that it comes out........................................ you will be a remembered parent in that school

its great
Reply:We teachers love being appreciated. It isn't what you do or how fancy it is, just that you took the time to recognize the work we do. Your teachers will love it, trust me!

Thanks for taking the time to let your children's teachers know how much you care!
Reply:I think you have been incredibly thoughtful and I know the teachers will remember this. It is parents like you that really keep teachers doing their jobs to the fullest! Teachers just want to be appreciated and thought of. This is much more meaningful than something bought at a store!! God bless!!!
Reply:I think it is great, especially the lunch! You have really put a lot of thought into your gifts and that will not be unnoticed.
