I'm planning to meet someone whom I've chatted to on the internet... I want to buy her a gift or do something for her that is a little bit romantic... Don't want to be too over the top because things can't be that deep yet, but i still would like to do something that makes her feel special... Any ideas? Flowers and/or choccys are an obvious two of course...
What would be a nice friendly and slightly romantic gesture?
Flowers and choclates are too traditional. You want to get her something small but says that "I have listened to you and want to know more." For Example, say you know she likes to draw and she hasn't picked up a pencil in a while. Buy her a sketchbook and some pencils. You get the idea.
Reply:A small cuddly and soft stuffed animal... that was she has a souvenir from you to take home and hold close after the date....
Reply:a spa gift certificate for some nice treatment.
Reply:A fun, friendly and sweet thing to do is to send a bunch of balloons, with a very nice card and the chocolate- you have fun, friendly, sweet and a touch romantic then :)
Reply:well I would take myself down to Gordon's and get one of those $150 pendants they have, its a dragon fly, or something along those lines. you can never go wrong with jewelry.
Reply:Meet her first before trying to do anything romantic. You really don't even know yet if you actually like her, and bringing her flowers or something else right away may come across as creepy.
Reply:Mark,
Your meeting someone you've been chatting with and ya don't know what to get her??? What have you been chatting about???? You should know her interest. If ya get her something that ya knoiw she's interested in or likes, doesn't have to be big or exspensive, but what it says is "I'm listening and I wanna know more about you"
Reply:Try a nice fluffy teddy bear /toy my 22yo daughter is always buying them for us
Reply:try a perfume..
Reply:Give her a single long stem red rose with a hershey's kiss!
Reply:If you've discussed music likes/dislikes over the net perhaps a CD for her to listen to. I've always liked flowers, and so that you're not over the top and overly romatic a single long stem rose is always a lovely gesture.
Reply:a single rose or a horse and carriage ride to pick her up....
Reply:If you have discussed music at all, make her a music mix cd. I personally didn't like getting flowers from a guy. I would rather have something you can remember them by that won't die in a day or two. What about a card talking about the first time ya'll met in the chat room and how you remember what ya'll talked about and what attracted you to her from that first moment. Good luck!
Reply:Depending on the weather, take her on a picnic, maybe a walk on the beach or a walk in the park, as a gift, just a little inexpensive item!
Reply:as you met on the internet, why not get her something P.C related, like a cool mousemat (you could even get one with your pic on it)
Reply:do you guys talk about music or movies. if so give her a new cd or dvd that you know she would like.
Reply:What is the girl interested in? If she has been dying to go buy a certain CD or Movie, go get it. I think that flowers would be a little too obvious. If she likes stuffed animals pick one out. Get something personal to her!
Reply:giving of the rose
Reply:Does she have a favorite flower and color. If so, give her a flower in her favorite color. For instance, my favorite flower is not a rose, but if my husband gives me yellow daisies, I know he's thinking about me.
