This is a gift for my soon to be mother in law - I know they do fruit, flower, etc. of the month club and I thought a wine gift would be perfect. Can anyone give me any direction?
Anyone have any input on purchasing a "Wine of the Month Club" as a gift?
well, if she's an alcoholic, it'll be the perfect gift!
Reply:Great idea, especially if she likes wine.
Check out the Bounty Hunter web site. They purchase the small remaining lots of stock from some great vineyards. They have monthly wine clubs at a variety of price points. Great wine (some not readily available) at good prices.
Reply:I am in a club called "A Taste of California". The wine is usually better than what I could get at the local bottle shop for about the same price. I get 4 bottles a month for $31.50 including shipping.
Reply:Yes if you know she likes wine and trying different kinds of wine then it will be an excellent gift that she enjoys. Maybe she will invite you over every once in a while to taste one of the new wines!
Reply:If you have a wine lover on your list, a Wine of the Month Club just might be the perfect gift. I was first given a wine club membership as a gift several years ago and I have been a member of one wine club or another ever since!
There are many options to choose from. For example, you can choose a case club membership (wines by the case) or a bottle membership (1-2 bottles per month). Many wine clubs also let you choose between red and white wines as well.
My current favorite is the Wine of the Month Club from Amazing Clubs at http://www.amazingclubs.com . This is an international wine club meaning the wines you receive are wines from all over the world that you'll never find at your local wine store. You can choose red wine, white wine, or a bottle of each and you always receive two different selections per shipment. You can also choose monthly shipments, bi-monthly shipments, or seasonal shipments.
It really does make a great gift (even for yourself)!
Reply:There are many clubs on line that provide a variety of wines from different regions based on seasonality and varietal choice (like white and blush or Merlot and Syrah). You could choose a club like that and it is hit and miss or find her favorite vineyard and order directly from them. My DH and I adore Gloria Ferrer and they have a beautiful Cuvee Club where they send 2 bottles every other month for about $70 this is a good way to decide if you will buy more of a specific offering at a reduced club price or just be content to have had a try at their new selections.
Reply:Yep, I just did a search for "wine of the month club." It is a nice present. You can buy different "plans" (i.e. 3month, 6 month, 12 month, etc). Be prepared, they are a little pricey.
Reply:If she loves wine %26amp; enjoys trying new ones - it's absolutely perfect. A gift that gives you something to look forward to every month is a great choice %26amp; very thoughtful.
Think I'll show this question to MY son-in-law LOL
Reply:My boss and his wife received this gift last year and they love it. Gave them a chance to taste different wines. I would love to receive this gift.
