I need to get something for my mil, but she doesn't do jewelry or chocolates or cand, and flowers are too 'average'.
Do you have any unique, good ideas for mothers day gifts?
I know you said she didn't do chocolate. But there is this cool gift where you can put any picture on a bar of chocolate or chocolate suckers. www.chocolateexpressionsonline.com

Reply:For me, give her a hug or a poem.
Reply:Our best mother's day was when my mother, grandmother, aunt, %26amp; I went to the south street sea port for the day %26amp; had lunch together. It was so nice, we even brought my little cousin. All the girls went out together.
TiffanyKaye's idea sounds great too!!
Reply:a gift certificate for SPA treatment
Reply:I heard an interesting gift the other day. Take a box and have people right one thing about your mom - it can be either long or short, happy, or funny.... it doesn't matter. Try and get as many people as possible so your mom can see how she's impacted other people's lives. Tell her she can only pull one from the box each day and it will bring back memories and show her how she's impacted people. I thought this was an interesting idea.....
Reply:Make something yourself, just like you did in pre-school, like a drawing with lots of paint, or something like that. She'll get a kick out of it, laugh, and especially, she will remember the joys of being a mom with her little boy/girl. Won't cost you much, and garantee it's something she will keep.
Reply:how about a new appliane like an electric wok or george foreman grill. If this isnt in your pricerang how about a book she might like or a designer perfume like Gucci or Elisabeth Arden.
Reply:they sale those pic frames that are like family trees. get one and fill with family photos. start her a photo album ot put a scrap book together from her child hood
Reply:well, you should know what she loves...i always think that surprises do the things...surprise her for a day out at the mall for a shopping spree or something or a lunch date...or even out at an amusement park if she's game...
Reply:The best gift you can give a mother in their 50s or later is a genealogy software and on line account. They will be able to search their family tree, etc and would be very involved with this.
Reply:give your mom a hug and a balloon filled with $100 bills.

Reply:I'll tell you a great gift one of my daughters gave me once.
She made cupons...they were valid for:
A breakfast in bed
A dinner of my choice cooked by her
A movie
A whole week of dish washing by her
There were 20 cupons...can't remember them all right now.
I just cashed in the cupons when I felt like it.
It was many years ago now she is 27 y.o she did that for me when she was 12.
She gave them to me in a lovely envelope with a mother's day card.
I really did appreciate that thoughtful gift!
Reply:You need to think about what she is interested in and go from there. If you get her something she can USE she will know that you put some thought into your gift to her and she will appreciate it big time.
After all it's the thought that counts - a gift with no thought behind it is just that a thoughtless gift. Usually not a big thriller.
Good luck!
Reply:Take her to watch a show or movie. Or take her out for a dinner or cook her something. Give her something that she could use in everyday life. Like, Kitchen tools, Bedding accessories, car accessories, or furniture accessories. Or it could just be a simple gift card. Go to American Greeting gift card store. Get her the music gift card for Mother's day. It would give her a good laugh. Or simple take her to a spa, give her a massage. Let her relax!
Reply:just be a good daughter/buy her something her like
Reply:I am a mother of two kids, and there is nothing more precious for me than them just staying by my side the whole day.
Reply:Buy her a card with lots of love in the inside since she dont do candy or nothing take her out to eat or try shopping
Reply:something u made urself always does the trick...specially with a sweet message expressing ur love and gratitude for her...
