How do I thank someone for helping me out?

There is this person who really helped me out. I want to get him a gift for what he's done but I think in the position he's in, he can't accept gifts. I owe this guy a lot and I don't think you suppose to get guys flowers. Please help.

How do I thank someone for helping me out?
Get a plant! But if he has a jib where he has helped you and cannot take gifts just say thank you.
Reply:a letter should be nice
Reply:just be truthfull and tell him in person what you think.
Reply:A nice card would serfice (spelling?)

Just a simple note stating just how thankful you are of him for helping you when you needed him.

he will appreciate it greatly.

hope that helps :]
Reply:you can write him a really nice card that always works
Reply:Sometimes an email or a thank you card is the perfect thing without crossing the line.

If he is your parole officer you must give him a verbal "thank you" or it would be considered bribery.

In all other cases, the first suggestions are considered acceptable without crossing the line.
Reply:a letter or somet just to show ur thanks and i'm sure sweets wont go a miss as long as it loks like u made an effort
Reply:Money. People always appreciate a little dough. Is money a gift? I don't think money is really a gift. It's just money.
Reply:A real nice card goes a long way. As you said he is not allowed to take gift and it could get him in trouble or cause him his job.
Reply:A nice note or thank you is very appropriate.

If you want to, you could donate a sum of money in his name to a charity- maybe one of his favorites.
Reply:Sometimes just saying "thank you" is enough
