What is a good end-of-year gift for a teacher?

It's my senior year, and this teacher was by far the best teacher ever. She never yelled at me and is very nice. She's not any ordinary teacher, so I need a unique gift and I'm leaning towards an original one. No mugs, lotions, bath sets, stuffed dolls, etc. I especially don't want to get her lotions/body sets/moisturizers because she'll think that I think that she smells bad :[

And I'm already getting some flowers.

What is a good end-of-year gift for a teacher?
Maybe if everyone in the class pitched in 5-10 dollars toward a big gift certificate, like to Red Lobster or some other fancy, expensive place.

I bet she'll really enjoy that.
Reply:Candlesticks/Shawl + card +flowers (as you are already getting) if you really respect him/her..
Reply:I've been thinking about this too. A personalized card would be especially nice, and maybe something that doesn't involve teaching. (#1 teacher! card).
Reply:Write her a letter explaining why she is so important to you and how she has influenced who you are and will be.

A gift is fine, but the reason she is a teacher is so that she can have an positive impact on as many students as possible. I think you are right about your gift choice. A letter will be much more valuable than an "ordinary" gift like the ones you describe.

Either alone or paired with a unique gift, the letter will be a very rewarding thing for her to receive. Good luck thinking of something!

Edit:

You can do something special with your letter like type it and print it on special paper or have it printed on something she can use if the letter is short. It doesn't just have to be a handwritten note on notebook paper. That way, it's more like a gift.
Reply:Gift Certificate to a store...
Reply:you should get her like a giftcard to her fav store.

and she can decide what she wants. :)
