What kind of gift would be memorable to the nursing staff at a nursing home?

To show appreciation of how they care for our loved one. I would give food or flowers, but i want something that will last longer in their hearts and minds.

What kind of gift would be memorable to the nursing staff at a nursing home?
Picture frames for photos. Gift certificates. A plant. Flowering plant.
Reply:A framed poem about how much caregivers do %26amp; that they are appreciated.

That way, they could hang it in the hallway or cafeteria %26amp; remember the family who gave it to them when it was read.

You could present it with a plaque that is fastened to the frame so they won't forget which family it came from.

See poem below for example:
Reply:Put it in writing. Either write a nice letter or a card. I don't think any caregivers get enough of these.
Reply:My best friend was a CNA, and one of the patients in the nursing home passed away and the family gave the FM radio to him as a token of appreciation of his work. He cared for the patient alot, of all the other nursing assistants.

Give the Nursing staff something memorable of your family, if you'd like them to have. Maybe a photo engraved mug of your family with an e-mail or contact. or just a small token of appreciation. Size is not a matter, it is the thought that matters.

Hope this helps. Be Blessed for your kind heart and thoughtfulness.
Reply:We gave the main lounge area a new TV and DVD player with a thank-you note for her care and friendship. But a flower arrangement made with silk flowers is pretty. Our nursing home had too many. (we also ran an ad in the news paper asking people to donate DVD movies it was a big hit !)

I am sorry for your loss,

Suzie
Reply:If you give food, make it really nice, like Godiva.

Or, very nice stationary sets, or beautiful silver frames.
